We used obscenity rules to prosecute child porn. In 1978, Congress enacted a law that prohibited the production of child porn without the need of evidence of obscenity, though the law was restricted to substance produced for pecuniary revenue. It was not till immediately after 1982, when the Supreme Court docket held that child porn can be prosecut
